  • All our pigments are compliant with the new EU regulations

On 4th January 2022, the new EU regulations for pigments and tattoo ink came into effect. This move was made in order to ensure products are even safer to use than they were before.

Good news for everyone working with our SUPE and SUPER pigments. We always tried to assure the highest quality possible, this is why those Microblading pigments are already compliant with the new EU regulations. Here it was simply necessary to update the packaging and MSDS documents.

For some of our other pigments and tattooing products, we updated the formula. Of course, our pigments continue to have the high quality standards they have always had. Below you can find all the information you need about how our products have been adapted to the new regulations.

Information on SUPE/SUPER Pigments

For our SUPE and SUPER pigments we have remade the labels on the packaging and added a new leaflet to the product. Also, the MSDS for our PhiBrows SUPE and SUPER pigments was adapted. However, the formulation of our PhiBrows SUPE and SUPER pigments will stay the same.

You can download the updated leaflet below, so that you can share the new information with your clients.

Frequently Asked Questions

What do I need to do to be compliant with the new regulations?

  1. Be sure that the pigments you use are compliant. If you purchased any pigments before 4th of January 2022, check that they are compliant, so you can still use them.
  2. The following sentence shows up on the product packaging or in the accompanying leaflet: ‘Mixture for use in tattoos or permanent make-up’ or ‘Preparation for tattooing’.
  3. Offer product leaflets to your clients with pigment information of ingredients that you applied during the procedure. For SUPE/SUPER pigments, you can find copies of those leaflets on our website.

What exactly has been changed, so that the pigments are compliant with the new regulations?

The formulation of our PhiBrows SUPE as well as SUPER pigments has not changed. These pigment lines can still be used. Our PhiContour as well as PhiScalp lines have been adapted. Our PhiBrows SUP pigments are a discontinued product, which means that an adjustment will no longer be made here.

Until when is it allowed to use old/non-compliant pigments?

The pigmentation colours used up to now, if they “do not” comply with the new regulations, may no longer be used from 04.01.2022 onwards. They must be disposed of.

I bought SUPE and SUPER pigments last year. Can I continue to use them?

The formulation of our PhiBrows SUPE and SUPER pigments will not be changed, only the label has been adapted. These pigment lines can still be used, but make sure to download the new leaflets:

We would be happy to send you the current MSDS. Simply write an email to info@phishop.com.
