What is Dermaplaning?


Dermaplaning is a method of exfoliation that uses a sterile surgical tool, like the Phi Dermaplaning Scalpel, to gently glide over the skin. This process effectively eliminates not just dead skin layers but also the fine vellus hairs (also known as peach fuzz), which can make our skin look a bit dull. 

 Different from some other skin exfoliation techniques, dermaplaning is chemical-free and non-invasive. It refreshes the face, providing it with a 'fresh start', and the treatment typically lasts around 30 minutes.

Before Treatment Options


Of course, it is incredibly important to ensure the skin is thoroughly cleansed and free of oils, makeup, and impurities to achieve optimal results and avoid any potential reactions or complications. It is always recommended to double-cleanse and disinfect before starting treatment.

PhiFoam 50ml/150ml


PhiFoam is a great all-rounder cleansing foam. It is ideal to free the skin from any impurities and excess oil before treatment. 

The foam can be used on various skin types. Apply the foam to the treatment area with a cotton pad and move in circular motions. 

Ensure to wash the skin thorougly after use, in order to properly remove any impurities and residual product.

PhiFusion Micellar Tonic


PhiFusion Micellar Tonic can be used daily, indicating the mildness of the formula for even sensitive skin. This makes it an ideal universal option to have in the salon. 

 The mild but effective micellar water formula attracts makeup, oil, and other impurities on the surface of the skin, to ensure that afterwards it is completely clean. 

You can gently apply this with a cotton pad on the treatment area. Since it is a no-rinse formula, you don't need to wash it off.



Phi Asept Solution


Phi Asept Solution has been formulated to cleanse and prepare the skin. 

As well as disinfecting the skin, it incorporates ingredients known to strengthen the skin's natural barrier. At the same time, the solution contains soothing properties. It is to be applied gently to the treatment area with a cotton pad. 

 The result?  A solution that ensures a skin surface that's not only free of oils and contaminants but also conditioned for optimal treatment outcomes.



Phi Asept Wipes


These practical, alcohol-free Phi Asept Wipes ensure both safety and effectiveness. 

Gentle enough for even the most sensitive skin, they provide thorough disinfection without causing irritation.

 The main difference between the wipes and Asept Solution already mentioned is the convenience and ease of use. 

 The prepacked wipes come in a box of 50, are perfect for quick, targeted application.


During Treatment

You can’t perform a dermaplaning treatment without the right scalpels!

The Phi Dermaplaning Scalpels remove dead skin cells as well as fine facial hairs, which results in a smooth and even skin texture.

The scalpels are made from carbon steel, a material known for its sharpness and durability for surgical tools. They are ‘size 10’ specification, which is a common and preferred size for dermaplaning due to its rounded edge. 

 These scalpels ensure top-tier safety and cleanliness, after being sterilized using 25 kGy gamma rays. This process, which exposes the scalpels to high-intensity gamma radiation, typically from a cobalt-60 source, guarantees the elimination of bacteria, viruses, and other potential pathogens.
